Privacy policy.

Who we are (data controller).

Home Gym Buddy is built and distributed by Fabien G., an individual developer ("we", "us", "developer"). For all privacy-related correspondence, including GDPR and CCPA enquiries, please email support@homegymbuddy.com.

Because the app does not transmit personal data to us, the developer does not function as a "data controller" in the GDPR sense for any personal data — there is none to control. We disclose our identity here regardless, so you always know who is responsible for the app.

Data we do not collect.

We do not collect, store, receive, or have access to:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Your workout programs, training data, or session history
• Your device identifier, advertising identifier, or IP address
• Your location, precise or coarse
• Any health, fitness, or biometric metrics (HealthKit is not used)
• Payment or financial information
• Behavioural or usage telemetry

All data you enter into the app remains on your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party. We have no servers. There is no log file we could request from Apple, no analytics warehouse, no CRM.

No user accounts. Home Gym Buddy does not support user registration. There is no sign-up flow, no account, no login, and no profile. Because the app does not allow account creation, the in-app account-deletion mechanism described in App Store Review Guideline 5.1.1(v) does not apply. To remove all of your data, simply delete the app from your iPhone — iOS removes all of its sandboxed storage along with it.

Data stored on your device.

The following information is stored locally in HGB's sandboxed iOS storage, governed by Apple's standard sandboxing rules:

• The workout program(s) you have imported
• The sets, reps, loads, and notes you have logged
• Your preferences (weight unit, barbell weight, rest timer durations)
• Any backups you have explicitly saved

This data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. You can wipe it at any time from in-app settings, or by deleting the app. Because we cannot read this data, we cannot back it up, restore it, or recover it on your behalf.

Anonymous usage analytics & crash reports.

HGB does not include any third-party analytics SDK. However, Apple may share anonymous, aggregate analytics with the developer through App Store Connect and TestFlight — for example, install counts, crash reports, and app-launch counts. This data is provided by Apple and cannot be linked back to you personally.

You can opt out of sharing analytics with developers in your iPhone settings under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers.

iCloud Drive.

The app can export the spreadsheet template, your program, and backups to your personal iCloud Drive. These files are stored in your iCloud account, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not ours. We have no access to your iCloud storage. If you do not wish to use iCloud, do not export to it — the app functions identically without it.

Third-party services.

Home Gym Buddy does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, fingerprinting, or tracking services. The app does not load remote content, does not embed web views, and does not include any SDK that phones home. The only network call the app makes is the App Store version-check that Apple performs on every iOS application; this is handled by iOS, not by us.

Your rights.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), and similar laws. Because we hold no personal data about you, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device rather than by writing to us:

• Access — export your data at any time from in-app settings.
• Rectification — edit your spreadsheet or in-app entries directly.
• Erasure / deletion — delete the app from your iPhone. iOS removes all of its data.
• Portability — export your program to iCloud Drive in standard .xlsx format.
• Restriction of processing — uninstall the app. There is no processing once it is gone.
• Right to object — same: uninstall.
• Right to withdraw consent — uninstall.
• Right to opt out of sale or sharing (CCPA) — we do not sell or share any personal information. There is no opt-out to exercise because nothing is being sold.
• Right to non-discrimination (CCPA) — we will not deny service or charge different prices based on the exercise of any right.
• Right to lodge a complaint — you may complain to your national data-protection authority. EU residents can find their authority at edpb.europa.eu.

If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to exercise a right we cannot fulfil on-device, write to support@homegymbuddy.com. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA), and confirm what little we know — which, in practice, is nothing.

Children's privacy.

Home Gym Buddy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. The app functions identically regardless of who is using it. If a parent or guardian believes their child has provided information they wish to be removed, please write to support@homegymbuddy.com — although in practice there is no data on our side to remove.

Changes to this policy.

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page and the "effective and last updated" date at the top changes. We will not retroactively reduce your rights under this policy. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on the App Store.
