We built it for ourselves.

Home Gym Buddy was never meant to be a product. We built it because we needed it — a simple way to follow our own program in the gym without printing sheets or squinting at a whiteboard mid-session.

It did exactly what we needed. Nothing more.

Then friends and family wanted it.

People around us noticed. They trained the same way — their own program, their own schedule — and they wanted something that worked the same way for them. So we shared it.

But sharing meant distributing. And distributing properly meant putting it on the App Store.

So we released it.

That's the whole story. No big vision, no funding round. We built a tool for ourselves, the people closest to us wanted it, and releasing it was the only way to share it properly.

It's still the same app — honest, simple, and built around your program, not ours.

Roadmap

This is a hobby project and we're proud of it. Here's where we are and where we're going.

Now

First release.

Home Gym Buddy is out. This is version one — built for ourselves, shared with the people around us, and now available to anyone who trains the same way.

Before we build anything new, we want to get this right. We're gathering feedback from the community to understand what works, what doesn't, and what needs polishing. The app won't grow until the foundation is solid.

Next

Apple Watch companion.

A watch companion so you can follow your session from your wrist. See the current exercise, the rest timer counting down, and confirm sets without touching your phone. Built for people who want their phone out of the way while they train.

Later

iPad version.

A native iPad layout for training with a larger screen — at home, on a stand, wherever it makes sense. Same app, same data, better use of the space available.
